Obstacle Racing injuries

As obstacle racing is fast becoming more and more popular, so are the injuries associated with this sport.
Injuries
Shoulder, knee and ankle injuries are the ones that I have seen in my practice repeatedly and whilst adequate training and common sense can prevent most of these injuries, it appears that often caution is thrown to the wind to gain those ultimate bragging rights after finishing a race.
What you can do
If you are unlucky enough to sustain any injuries after such an event, don’t be so tough that you won’t seek treatment. Massage and Bowen therapy have been quite effective pre, post and during these events in preventing and managing inures as well as reducing recovery time.
Make massage a part of your regular training regimen today. Your body will thank you for it.
