Remedial Massage after accidents?

It is interesting to note that when people are involved in motor vehicle accidents they seem to fall into what I call the “system trap”.
They will often seek treatment that their insurance companies and lawyers will pay, regardless of whether these treatments are helpful or not. It is not uncommon for people to see various therapists or specialists twice a week for a number of years just because their insurance companies pay for it. Who is really getting the benefit here? Are they really getting better? Why do they go back twice a week is there is little or no improvement?
Often these people end up with chronic pain and symptoms and when the funding runs out they are left to look elsewhere. This is usually the time they find a Remedial Massage therapist, and the surprise is great when suddenly after a couple of treatments they are symptom free.
There is so much to be gained from visiting a qualified remedial therapist as soon as possible after an injury, as then the recovery process is not only so much quicker, but also the extent of the recovery can be so much greater.
Ideally you should visit your Remedial therapist as soon as possible after an injury or trauma occurs before your body compensated for the stress or injury, causing even more complications.
