Massage for the Medically Frail or Terminally Ill

There are so many benefits of touch therapies. Massage for medically frail or terminally ill people takes on a different purpose and style compared to the type of massage a healthy person would receive. The type of massage is much more gentle and slower and designed to be comforting and supportive. It is not designed to “fix” anything, rather to ease anxiety and to promote comfort and relaxation. This type of massage is often of a shorter duration so as to not overload the already struggling system of the person receiving the massage.

In an environment where often touch has been clinical, cold or painful, massage can provide relief and improve quality of life.

Andrea has extensive qualifications and experience in providing safe massage in hospice, nursing home and hospital environments.
