Is the treatment covered by Medicare or Private Health Fund?
If you have private health cover (extras) you may be eligible for a rebate from your Private Health Insurer for Remedial Massage. Please contact your health fund to enquire about your rebate.
Do you have Hi-CAPS facility?
Yes. HICAPS allows you to claim a rebate from your private health fund for most visits on the spot. In some instances you may be able to make a claim online.
What can I expect during my first visit?
During your first visit we will ask you to complete an intake form to help us determine the best treatment option for you. We will ask you to provide us with your current and past medical history, including any medical conditions. Before starting the session, we will then discuss the proposed treatment with you.
You will have privacy to partially undress and lie down on the treatment table, with towels provided for coverage.
When we re-enter the room, we will adjust the towels and drape additional ones over you to protect your privacy and ensure your comfort. Only the areas being worked on at the time will be uncovered.
After the session, you will have time and privacy to get dressed. To achieve the best possible outcome, we will ask for your feedback and may prescribe some stretches or exercises for you to do at home.
Please drink plenty of water after your session to stay hydrated and avoid any headaches.
Do I have to remove my clothes for the treatment?
Our treatments are most effective when performed directly on the skin, so please be prepared to be treated in your underwear. We are specially trained in draping techniques and can discuss your options with you to ensure your comfort. Towels will remain draped over you during the treatment, with only the area being treated uncovered. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, please let us know. We can also provide massage over light clothing if necessary.
How long is each session?
Initial sessions usually take about one hour. Any subsequent sessions are determined by your condition. These vary in time depending on your particular requirements. Treatments are usually 45 – 60 minutes. Although at times they may only last 30 minutes.
What are your costs?
Please refer to our pricing page for costs of sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us as soon as possible. This allows us to help you reschedule your appointment. By giving us as much notice as possible you are enabling us to better serve you and our other patients.
