Most people will experience neck pain at some point in their lives. Neck pain may be caused by muscular tightness in the neck and upper back, joint disruptions in the neck or upper back, pinching nerves, and numerous other spinal problems, as well as many other physical and emotional health problems. Neck pain may also be referred to other parts of the body. The neck allows for most of the movement of the neck and head as well as acting as support for the head. If any part of this is adversely affected the muscles in the area will tighten and lead to neck pain. This can be treated effectively with a number of Bowen therapy moves and effects can be quite profound.
